Rats of their air they may be, but for some reason I find pigeons fascinating. So for
the class I’m teaching at Quilting LIVE!, I’m using my
Bird Crossing pattern to make a runner with the birds as pigeons.
Since they’re city dwellers, I figured an urban print would be the appropriate background, and I have several options in my stash. But which to choose? I’d love to get your help. Here’s a closer look at the shortlist....
Where does the pigeon look most at home to you?

Tough call. Personally I think the fabrics go great together so what about one of each. If I had to choose just one I guess number 4, love them all.
Hmm, one of each might work. Would you believe I hadn't really thought of that?
Love them all but #1 is my fave.
I absolutely ADORE these!!!! One of each, please :)
All would work but like number 4
I was intrigued yet surprised as I don't like pigeons. The blue background is home, next is a long flight to Paris, third one is on the way back (notice its feet are tired, too many days of stilettos), and the last one is Friday - a bit of blue representing home and the upcoming weekend plus a few surprises. Enjoy the journey!
Originally, I thought #1. The others competed too much with the pigeon; but, after AuntTC's comment, I think all four tell the story.
Very clever....I agree..one of each.
OMG. Love these! The pigeons are at home everywhere you put them.
OMG! I just love the idea. pigeons searching for city... Lol! It's really fun to see this post as well as these nice quilts. I think the blue background is looking better.
Each one is terrific! I really couldn't pick one.
